Netia Radio-Assist 8 and MusicMaster Interface Seamlessly Bring Unmatched Intelligence, Power, and Convenience to Media Management and Music Playout

CLARET, France — Dec. 1, 2009 — NETIA today announced that its Radio-Assistâ„¢ 8 suite of digital audio automation software now interfaces seamlessly with the acclaimed MusicMaster music scheduling system, providing users with a complete and cost-effective turnkey solution for handling music across a radio station. The combined solution allows users to access MusicMaster’s library-organization features and sophisticated rules-based playlist generation seamlessly alongside the powerful Radio-Assist 8 multimedia workflow management toolset. The MusicMaster playlists are then automatically integrated in Radio Assist 8 for playout.

“Both Radio-Assist and MusicMaster are industry-leading solutions that bring powerful functionality to radio broadcasters,” said Joseph Knapp, president of A-Ware Software, maker of MusicMaster. “Together, the two solutions feature a level of interaction never before possible. Our intelligent scheduling system gives operators the tools to make better choices about what to play on air and gives the program director more control over playout. Now that this capability is available along with Radio-Assist 8, our joint customers can much more efficiently provide their listeners with an engaging broadcast product that can enhance both ratings and revenues.”

MusicMaster is the fastest growing system available, generating schedules for radio stations all over the world, as well as for music television networks, satellite broadcasters, and cable television channels, Internet streams, syndicated programs, restaurants, and nightclubs. Thanks to the open architecture of the two systems, MusicMaster can maintain a real-time awareness of content within the NETIA Radio-Assist 8 server and apply rules-based intelligence in making playlist selections that enhance the broadcaster’s music mix and flow, reduce listener fatigue, and help increase ratings. After playout of a playlist, a report is automatically generated and sent back to MusicMaster for reconciliation.

OnAir Digital, the official distributor for MusicMaster worldwide, has already facilitated installation of the joint solution for a leading radio broadcaster based in France. Because Radio-Assist 8 and MusicMaster interface so cleanly and easily, the established global user base for each software product can quickly integrate and adopt the other to realize a single comprehensive solution.

“The unique awareness of the MusicMaster scheduling system makes it easy for Radio-Assist 8 users to improve the overall quality of programming and to reach a broader audience more effectively,” said Mustapha Rezzoug, product director at NETIA. “The interfacing of our companies’ products offers exciting potential for greater productivity, simpler operation, and a more compelling broadcast solution. We look forward to further success working with A-Ware as broadcasters continue to take advantage of our powerful product pairing.”

The Radio-Assist 8 range of digital audio automation software is equipped with a broad range of tools for end-to-end multimedia workflows. This widely deployed software suite extends beyond traditional broadcasting by streamlining the preparation and publication of media, as well as the management of associated metadata and linked media. Radio-Assist 8 provides instant access to all types of media, archived or online. Regardless of the storage medium, items can be previewed and restored for repurposing and distribution, both for broadcasting and for multi-platform distribution.
