The Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing® Will Hold Its Third Annual GRAMMY® Week Event at the Legendary Village Recording Studios

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Jan. 8, 2010) — The Recording Academy® Producers & Engineers Wing® will hold its third annual GRAMMY® Week event at the Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles. Set for Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, days before the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, this event honors excellence in music and audio, and the professionals who work behind the scenes to create great recordings.

As part of 2010 GRAMMY Week, the P&E Wing will be celebrating the music of Island Records and its founder Chris Blackwell, whose vision and commitment brought to the world the music of artists such as Desmond Dekker and the Aces, Nick Drake, Melissa Etheridge, Grace Jones, Bob Marley, Roxy Music, Cat Stevens, Toots and the Maytals, U2 and Steve Winwood. The special guest DJ for the evening will be Jason Bentley, producer/remixer/sound supervisor, and music director of KCRW radio. more

Fairfield, NJ––Middle Atlantic Products has promoted Mike Baker to be its new President. Company founder Bob Schluter will continue as Chief Engineer and CEO. These changes are the latest steps to ensure that the company continues to respond ever more effectively to customer and marketplace needs.

Baker has served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and CFO for the last five years, and has been with Middle Atlantic since 2001. Prior to joining the company, Baker served in various financial and operational leadership positions in the manufacturing industry. more
