Sacramento, CA – Jampro Antennas, Inc. today announced the delivery of over a dozen radio and television broadcast antennas to the state operated Radiodiffision de la Republique Rwandaise (RRR), headquartered in the capital city of Kigali. The antennas are a part of a major government effort to upgrade the nation’s broadcast infrastructure to deliver news, information and entertainment to promote better relations among tribal factions.
“Our engineering and test staff here in Sacramento has worked closely with Rwandan broadcast engineers to design patterns that provide optimum nationwide coverage at minimal cost. We are pleased to be a part of this historic broadcasting effort,” said Alex M. Perchevitch, Jampro’s president.
Jampro antennas will provide national DVB-T coverage for the Central African country that is slightly smaller than the state of Maryland. RRR selected several Jampro model JUHD, DTV ready broadband UHF panel antennas for bands IV and V. The JUHD has a wide bandwidth for multiple channel operations. Made of stainless steel, the JUHD is well suited to the Rwandan climate.
For its radio operation, RRR chose Jampro’s model JBVP broadband FM antennas and RCCC constant impedance combiners.
