The venerable station is currently in the process of upgrading its facilities and, to ensure the delivery of premium content with the highest levels of reliability and flexibility, the station recently took delivery of four radio consoles and a routing system from Rastatt, Germany-based Lawo.

Murray Johnson is JAZZ.FM91’s Technical Manager and is responsible for overseeing all installation and maintenance of the production facilities, transmission distribution, and other aspects of the station’s operations. With an integral role in the selection, installation, and commissioning of all equipment to be deployed as part of the facility upgrade, Johnson took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to discuss the four Lawo crystal consoles and the Nova 17 router that will assume key roles at JAZZ.FM91. more
