WSDG Marks European Expansion With New Offices in Germany, Spain

BASEL, SWITZERLAND: Dirk Noy, Walters-Storyk Design Group partner and European GM, has announced the opening of new offices in Cologne, Germany and Barcelona, Spain.

Carlo Fickler, a WSDG team-member since 2006, will lead the Cologne branch. An expert in architectural acoustics and audio/visual technology integration, Fickler will concentrate his energies on existing projects and on expanding the firms’ client base on the Continent. Fickler completed the interdisciplinary program in audio and video technology at the University of Applied Sciences and Robert-Schumann-College of Music Duesseldorf in 2004. DK-Technologies Appoints Lift AV as New US Distributor

GRAMMYs on the Hill Event Titled “On The Record” Brings GRAMMY-Winning Producers and Members of Congress Together to Discuss Music Industry Issues

(July 29, 2011) — On Tuesday, July 26, in a first-of-its-kind event, The Recording Academy® (www.grammy.com) and its Producers & Engineers Wing brought music producers together with Congressional leaders on Capitol Hill for a day that included meetings, a panel discussion and musical demonstrations. The event addressed important industry issues while also providing insight into the essential role that producers and engineers play in the music recording process. The day’s activities were part of The Academy’s DC-based GRAMMYs on the Hill initiative.

The broad-based delegation of producers included Adam Anders (Glee), Ray Benson (Asleep at the Wheel, Willie Nelson, Suzy Boguss), Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson), Johnny K.
