KXPR Awards Complete Turn-Key FM Frequency Matched Tower-Antenna Contract to Jampro

Sacramento, CA — Jampro Antennas of Sacramento, California has been awarded a major contract by KXPR FM of Sacramento, a classical music-formatted Capital Public Radio station. A long-time Jampro customer, the KXPR contract is for a turnkey installation including a 500 ft tower, JHPC Penetrator FM antenna mounted on a Frequency Matched Tower (FMT), and Proline rigid transmission line.

The model JHPC is a high-power FM version of Jampro’s Penetrator antenna, which has become an industry standard for quality and performance. The Penetrator style radiating element with a 3-1/8” shunt feed line sets a standard unequaled for efficiency and coverage. Each JHPC is factory tuned to any frequency in the FM Band II (87.5 -108 MHz) range on a tower structure that bests simulates the customer’s actual tower. In this case, Jampro is providing its FMT.

Jampro’s FMTs represent the latest technology in RF signal improvement through manipulation of the antenna/tower relationship. Jampro designed the tower structure to match the spacing of the antenna elements. For each of the FMTs, Jampro locates the structural tower members in the optimum position to create a symmetrical backdrop for each of the radiating elements. The result is a mounting environment that minimizes signal distortion and maximizes pattern precision and predictability.

Acoustics First’s acoustical wall fabric saves $Green$ while being Green!

For Immediate Release

Acoustical wall fabric saves $Green$ while being Green!

Acoustical wall fabric installed under chair rail

Sound Channels® acoustical wall fabric is manufactured from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled material, making this a quick ship, easy, no thought acoustic solution.

Sound Channels® is applied directly to vertical surfaces, is easy to cut and installs like wall carpet. This absorptive wall fabric is a great choice to moderate speech frequencies in any application. Great to soften sound in conference rooms, distance learning, offices, and day care facilities, this material can also be used as a base layer in home theaters, recording studios and broadcast facilities.

Not only is this economical acoustical treatment available in countless colors, it is manufactured from recycled materials, reducing environmental impact!

Sound Channels in manufactured using Eco-fi fibers. Eco-fi is a high-quality polyester fiber made from 100% certified recycled plastic bottles. It can go into any textile product such as clothing, blankets, carpets, wall coverings, auto interiors, home furnishings, and craft felt. Eco-fi can also be blended with other fibers, such as cotton or wool, for enhanced qualities.

AN EASY GUIDE: 15 bottles = 1 yard of wall covering

Why buy Eco?fi products?
We have the capacity to keep billions of plastic bottles out of the world’s landfills each year by using post-consumer plastic bottles instead of virgin materials in the fiber manufacturing process. By doing this, we can lower harmful air emissions and save millions of barrels of oil from being used which, in turn, reduces the harmful effects of acid rain, global warming, and smog. Fabrics made from Eco-fi fiber are chemically and functionally nearly identical to those made from non-recycled fiber. The difference is that Eco-fi fiber is made without depleting the Earth’s natural resources. With properties such as strength, softness, shrinkage-resistance, and colorfastness, market applications for Eco-fi products are expanding every day.

Clear-Com Global Rental Group Presents Single Source Communications Solution for Demanding Productions

Industry Veteran Larry Estrin to Head the New Rental Partner Network, Maximizing Access to Intercom Systems

ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, JANUARY 30, 2012 – Clear-Com, a global leader in critical voice communication systems, has launched the Clear-Com Global Rental Group (CGRG). Through a network of experienced rental partners equipped to provide Clear-Com intercom systems for productions of any size, the new service, led by industry veteran Larry Estrin, offers greater flexibility and options for addressing customers’ communications requirements.

The CGRG comprises a hand-selected team of trained and experienced rental businesses worldwide. These partners support short-term and rapid installation needs with a full range of advanced wired and wireless production intercoms and technical support. As Director of CGRG, Estrin (who has extensive experience with events such as the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Grammys and Academy Awards) provides rental partners with greater knowledge, skills and resources to supply the highest level of production communications. By connecting rental partners across the globe, the CGRG also gives customers local access to the most fitting communications equipment for their specific applications, whether for film and television, live performance, special events or theater.

Estrin also conducts interactive training for CGRG rental partners on spectrum planning and frequency coordination. Additionally, he facilitates the collaborative effort of rental partners to supply communications equipment and technical support for large-scale productions, including international sporting events and high-profile live performances. Estrin will continue to strengthen existing rental partner relationships, as well as broaden the CGRG by bringing additional rental businesses on board. This will enable the company to supply an even greater number of Clear-Com systems throughout the world.

“Clear-Com has a longstanding commitment to expanding and improving the daily interactions we have with our customers and partners, helping them develop their knowledge base, enhance their decision-making and achieve their goals,” says Estrin. “By combining the strengths of all rental partners in the Clear-Com Global Rental Group, customers can access every type of communications solution, as well as expertise for even the most complex productions.”

Although Estrin will be the primary facilitator of the partner-to-customer relationship, customers also have the option and convenience of directly reaching out to rental businesses through the CGRG directory. Moreover, CGRG provides customers with connections to experienced engineers and technical staff, which saves them both time and money as they will not have to cultivate the expertise internally. Further, since the CGRG is backed by Clear-Com’s sales, application engineering, marketing, product management and engineering teams, customers are assured that production communication will be optimized. Overall, customers can enjoy the intimacy of working with a local intercom rental provider while reaping the benefits offered by a much more powerful global conglomerate.

For more information on the CGRG, contact Larry Estrin at larry.estrin@clearcom.com.

Guitar Center Professional Helps Beacon Street Studios Outfit Its Facility with New Components

— In the fast-paced world of broadcast commercials, Beacon Street Studios finds that time is its most precious commodity, and GC Pro’s full-service capability means Beacon Street can focus on the music while GC Pro finds the right gear —

beacon street

Beacon Street Studios in Venice, California, is a unique kind of place, where major international advertising firms, including BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather and DDB, have their clients’ music created for broadcast spots, such as the five commercials for Career Builder, Hyundai, Bridgestone and Gatorade that they scored for the Super Bowl this year. At the same time, music artists including Hootie & the Blowfish and April Hendrix, and noted music producers like Don Was and Ed Cherney, have also found Beacon Street Studios – a space once occupied by the legendary Joni Mitchell – to be a creative haven for their art. Being such an in-demand facility keeps their calendar busy, and as they were looking to update several studio components, the biggest issue was time. Fortunately, Guitar Center Professional (GC Pro), the outside sales division of Guitar Center that focuses on the needs of professional users, helped the studio find the right gear effectively and efficiently, determining what new equipment was needed to help the facility keep up with demand. With GC Pro on its side, Beacon Street was able to keep the focus where it needs to be – on the music. more
