New Configurator Aims to Redefine Middle Atlantic Customer Experience

Fairfield, NJ––Middle Atlantic Products is unveiling a new web-based configuration tool that enables customers to easily select, configure, quote and purchase the precise infrastructure system to fit their project needs. Based on extensive research and feedback from the company’s integration partners, the platform was developed to improve nearly every facet of the customer experience.

Available in October, this new tool will allow users to create a personalized design with the right products and accessories for any type of system along with a priced materials list. Further enhancing the company’s website, which was redesigned earlier this year, this new configuration tool will be accessible from anywhere in the world with internet access, on any browser-enabled device.

Designed for anyone from beginner to expert, users can be guided through the configuration process or they can choose to build a system at their own pace.
With built-in intelligence to ensure that only components that fit can be selected and smart recommendations along the way, the Configurator helps users build the most effective and reliable system.

Commenting on the new configuration tool, Middle Atlantic VP of Sales Dan Tarkoff said, “We wanted to build a solution that would radically improve the ease with which customers do business with us. We have the broadest range of products in the industry and wanted a way to simplify the process of finding the right fit for every project. The Configurator gives them the freedom to design configure, customize and order reliable systems whenever they want.”

The Configurator enables users to export CAD and other design documents to be easily integrated into their standard design process. It enables 24/7 access to a stored history of user projects, the ability to create new projects, and convenient direct online ordering.

Users interested in being the first to be notified when the tool goes live can sign up at http://www.middleatlantic.com/config.

BASSBOSS Creates Custom DJ System for Red Bull and LANAI Rooftop Lounge

New booth as a centerpiece featuring awesome audio power, visual elegance and a very small footprint

Austin, TX (May 13, 2014)
– An elegant venue for dancing, relaxing and socializing, LANAI Rooftop Lounge in the heart of Austin, TX has great views, comfy couches, stylish décor and a diverse crowd that dances the night away to electronic and dance music. Their previous sound system and DJ booth took up far too much space and looked cluttered, without providing quality audio reproduction. LANAI and sponsoring partner Red Bull requested a custom design solution from BASSBOSS designer David Lee, who created a sound system in a DJ booth centerpiece that captures the aesthetic and offers sound that cleanly covers the entire room. The booth requires a very small footprint, leaving more room for customers and decor.

BASSBOSS_DJBOOTH_Cropped

“The list of technical details that went into making this project sound great and perform ideally for the space is even longer than the extensive list of aesthetic touches that were applied to make it beautiful,” said Lee. The BASSBOSS DJ booth/sound system incorporates a 12,000 W sound system into an elegantly crafted structure that serves as a platform not only for DJ equipment but also as a visual element that focuses attention. The main system components consist of a pair of 21-inch woofers, four 10-inch midrange drivers and two 1.4-inch exit compression drivers on iso-phasic waveguides. Also included is a DJ monitoring system that features dual 8-inch woofers and 1-inch exit compression drivers on tractrix waveguides. On the main system, a 3400 W amplifier module powers each of the 21-inch woofers. The midrange drivers are powered with 750 W each, or 1500 W per side, and the tweeters each have over 500 W available. For the monitors, each side has a 2 channel 700 W amplifier. Four discrete digital signal processors provide crossover, time alignment, equalization and limiter functions.

According to Lesliann Nemeth, LANAI’s Creative Director, the sound is now ideal for the space: “Since it is a custom-built system, we were able to have it set within the parameters of our outdoor music permit, which was a big issue for us before. It is amazing the level of sound we can get being that it is concentrated within the booth.”

Gloucestershire, United Kingdom – Alan Dick Broadcast Ltd. (ADBL), a world leader in the manufacture and design of radio frequency components and antennas for radio and television transmission, today announced that it will highlight its unique concept-to-installation solutions by featuring a variety of UHF and FM antennas, as well as tower and installation services, at IBC2013 in stand 8.B99.

“AlanDick broadcast has long been established as a total communications infrastructure solutions provider, distinctive in our ability to provide services, products and solutions on a global scale to meet the infrastructure needs of broadcasters around the world,” says Alex Perchevitch, President of ADBL. “As always, we look forward to one of our industry’s biggest shows, IBC, so that we can connect on a one-on-one basis with an international base of broadcast professionals and highlight our full range of solutions.”

At this year’s IBC show in Amsterdam, ADBL will be exhibiting a variety of UHF and FM antennas, as well as highlight its towers and installation services to the global broadcast market.

DVB-T/DVB-T2 BROADBAND SOLUTIONS
UHF Broadband Medium Power Panel Antenna for All Polarizations
ADBL is introducing a UHF Broadband Medium Power panel antenna that is now available for Bands IV & V in all polarizations: CPOL, EPOL, HPOL and VPOL. The antenna is designed as either a side-mount or a top-mount for DTV, ISDB-T, DVB-T/H, NTSC or PAL broadcasting.

UHF Broadband Antennas
Now available for both VPOL and CPOL polarization, ADBL is launching two broadband antennas for UHF Bands IV & V, designed as low to medium power solutions, with a special focus on rooftop deployment. The antenna is a vertically or circularly polarized system enclosed by a full cylindrical radome for environmental protection and minimal urban visual impact. The antenna allows multiple UHF channels to be transmitted at the same time. Rugged marine brass and aluminum construction guarantees long life and value (ideal for DVB-T2 [ISDB-T or ATSC digital TV application] channels).

UHF Super Turnstile Antenna
The super turnstile IV/V 470 – 860 MHz Antenna has many outstanding features that bring great value to today’s broadcaster. Minimum windloading while providing broadband response makes the super turnstile ideal for applications where either one channel is defined, or multiple channels are combined.

Broadband Elliptical/Circular Polarized Broadband UHF Panel Antenna
With elliptical or circular polarized broadband panels, ADBL offers dual/individual inputs for horizontal or vertical polarization which allows for varying levels of polarization split and pattern performance. Both versions are engineered and well suited for digital/analog TV and mobile video. Built with corrosion resistant stainless steel aluminum reflecting panels, the antennas are designed for long lasting durability.

FM BROADBAND ANTENNAS
JAVA Broadband Log Periodic FM Band II Antenna
The JAVA broadband log periodic FM antenna system is ideal for high gain directional applications, and is available on any standard FM channel (87.5 to 107.9 MHz). JAVA is produced from either rugged aluminum or hot dipped galvanized steel for extreme conditions/environments. Custom directional azimuth pattern and FCC Certification is available on a full-scale test range to conform to the customer’s requirements.

TOWERS AND INSTALLATION
Unique in its ability to not only manufacture and sell antennas, combiners/filters, etc., ADBL also offers a full range of solutions for radio and television that includes the design and build of towers as well as installation services. With broadcast structures generally falling into two categories, ADBL offers broadcasters both Guyed Lattice Masts and Self Supporting tower options. A leader in customized towers, ADBL takes into consideration many factors such as required height, operational and design wind speed, wind loads imposed by the antennas it supports; available land area and budget. ADBL designers provide structures that satisfy each client’s load requirements, meets international design and manufacturing standards and is as light weight and practical as possible.

AlanDick Broadcast also prides itself on having the ability to provide top of the line and professional installation and construction services that include installation anywhere in the world, site preparation, tower erection and foundation construction.
