Omnia Reveals Clear and Loud Audio with New Omnia.11 at NAB 2010

LAS VEGAS, NV ― Omnia Audio is breaking through the cluttered sound barrier with its latest product introduction, Omnia.11. Debuting at this year’s NAB show (Telos Booth C146), Omnia.11 represents years of research and development yielding a redesigned firmware platform, GUI and adjustments to every algorithm in the system creating a completely re-thought approach to processing. The firmware in Omnia.11 takes advantage of software resources never before available for this caliber of product. The results are dynamic algorithms that were once a pipe dream of the processing enthusiast. omnia11-top-front.jpg

“Omnia.11 is on-air processing testosterone with no body fat, says Omnia President and Founder Frank Foti. “It’s pure audio, lean on distortion, yet full of punch, power and girth, with no nasty side-effects whatsoever. New material, old material, hip-hop, urban, rap, rock, country, classical, talk, religious — you name it, this is HGH (human growth hormone) for processing – say hello to Omnia.11! Instead of us making all the clichéd claims about how much better it sounds than such-n-such box, we’ll just leave that for others to make after they hear Omnia.11 and how it’s simply more revealing…period! more

Waves Releases Vocal Rider, a Revolutionary Plug-in for Mixing

— Waves Vocal Rider intelligently raises or lowers vocal volume without coloring or compression —

vocal rider

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Waves Audio is now shipping Vocal Rider, the first of Waves’ pioneering series of innovative new Mixing tools. Vocal Rider is indispensable for mixers and recording engineers, automatically riding the levels of vocal tracks. Instead of manually riding a console fader, or tediously drawing in every level change on a DAW track, Vocal Rider does it automatically, making it a true timesaver.

First, the user sets the target range of the vocal level in relation to the rest of the mix. Vocal Rider then compensates for all deviations from the target, intelligently raising or lowering the vocal volume, instantly. Unlike compression, Vocal Rider adds absolutely no additional coloring to the track

The new Vocal Rider Live component includes an exclusive Spill control to differentiate the vocal from background instrumentation and noise, for better tracking and performance. more
