Jordan Radio and TV Awards Major Nationwide Contract To Jampro For Multi-Site Antenna Upgrade

Amman, Jordan (March 15, 2011) — Jampro Antennas, Inc. of Sacramento, California announced here today that it has received a major contract from Jordan Radio & TV (JRTV) to supply broadcast antenna systems and related transmission equipment to upgrade four systems in the Mideastern country. JRTV is the state broadcaster of Jordan, a primary source of news, information and entertainment for the population of 6.4 million.

JRTV’s order included Jampro model JUHD UHF broadband panel antennas and combiners, JCPD FM panel antennas, combiners, and associated RF components.

JUHD broadband antennas are DVB-T-ready for UHF bands IV and V and have wide bandwidth for multiple channel operation. Based on a proven modular design and made of stainless steel, JUHDs can be configured to provide various azimuth and elevation patterns. An optional beam tilt and null fill allows the elevation pattern to be shaped to maximize coverage. more…

AudioTechnica U.S. Responds to Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

STOW, OH, March 16, 2011 — Audio-Technica U.S. extends its deepest condolences to those affected by the 2011 Tohoku Pacific Coast earthquake. Audio-Technica Japan facilities have not been damaged by the disaster, and all employees are accounted for and safe. Operations at Audio-Technica Japan are normal, although minimally affected by power outages, as office workers with long commutes are working from home when possible via cell phone and computer. The company is constantly monitoring the status of operations at all sites, with safety being the number-one priority.

Audio-Technica U.S. is assessing the effect this disaster may have on its supply chain, but at this time no major disruptions are anticipated.

To help in the relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by the Tohoku Earthquake, Audio-Technica U.S. is making a donation to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Audio-Technica Now Shipping AT2022

STOW, OH, March 15, 2011 — Audio-Technica is now shipping its AT2022 X/Y Stereo Condenser Microphone. A dual-element condenser microphone designed for stereo recording, the AT2022 features two unidirectional condenser capsules in an X/Y configuration pivot to allow for 90-degree (narrow) or 120-degree (wide) stereo operation for extremely versatile pickup. The capsules also fold flat for storage and transportation. It is designed for general stereo recording, as well as field sound capture.

The AT2022 includes a 1.6′ (0.5 m) cable terminating in a 3-pin XLRF-type and a 1/8″ (3.5 mm) connector. The output of the microphone is a 3-pin XLRM-type connector. The microphone requires a 1.5V AA battery for operation. more…
